I just went and looked at my buddy's deer. 8-pointer.....20-1/2" inside spread.....but he won't go much over 100". Short tines.....probably a 3 yr old. I took some photos in his game room, though. REALLY impressive for NC deer. Chrono was 337.4 and I have a photo of it;) |

Speed is overrated. My bow shoots 210 fps, and there's only 1" difference at 40 yards between my bow and my buddy's bow. His shoots 340 fps. So that goes to show you right there.
You dummies and your obsession with speed...  What you're gonna want to do, just to get all the handshock out of it, and get some decent penetration - is shoot rebar chunks (instead of conventional arrow shafts). Just cut it down to 30" sections and weld some sheetmetal fletchings to the back. This will fix your speed problem, and help you penetrate through the tough whitetail hide. |
