Next time you hunt there, walk in a big circle real fast and see if you can catch up with him! :D
That's not even smart enough to be stupid, it's just plain dumb. Why notsimply walk a trail right toand onto your snow filledtruck bed then wait in front of thetruckwith your bow? Think man think!!!

I think he was kidding. And it was pretty funny too.

I saw 2 bucks chasing a doe today, and yesterday I watcheda younger buck(2 1/2 year old I thought) chase a doe all over the place. And they weren't just 'following' them; they were balls-out running.

Remember, some deer are born earlier in the year than others, so it stands to reason that some does are going to come into estrous at different times of the fall/winter. And you can be sure there's going to be bucks ready to go when one of these does comes around.

It sounds like your buck was checking you out like an intruder, leaving rubs along your trail to let you know he's there and it's his area.

I never said shoot him fromthe truck. I meant shoot him while he's in the bed of the truck.Remember I said you'd be waiting in front of the truck.

you don't know how right you are. I would've been too had I gone on my first instinct when I saw the big fallen oak. you see, I thought that too but decided against it and opted to hunt a different spot for the afternoon. Right around 4:15 something came over me telling me I should be at the fallen oak. I then made my way to the fallen oak which was 10min away. As soon as I got there, a doe was just coming out of the pines 100yds away and headed towards the oak. Had I been there to begin with, my sniper rifle would've gotten some action instead of me just seeing the doe turn around and high tailin' it.

Yes your plan should work as long as he does not spot you and drive off with your truck.
Yes I knew :D
