Questions for Sword Sight Experts...???

1. Which is the best model for hunting....Twighlight Hunter?
2. Did they change their aiming rings from Orange to White for '08?
3. If I wanted the orange ring, are there any major changes from the '07 to '08 that I should consider before buying the '07 with the orange (I like it better)?
4. How easy are the adjustments and how solid are they?
5. Are the fibers protected by the pins?
6. Bright?
I presently have a CJ DN2 Supreme...but always looking for something better. ;)

If you want 3rd axis, your gonna need the Apex 3rd plane. For shooting out of a treestand, I'd recommend this.

They changed orange to white in 07. They did this because the orange ring is patented by another company.

I don't know of any changes from 07-08. The new better lights with different settings are the only change I've seen in quite a while and this was on 07's as well.

Adjustments are easy and solid.

I've never broken fiber on one and I've used them almost exclusively for about 2 years now for both 3D and hunting.

Plenty bright, and if you want brighter you can run the fiber longer in them, or simply use the standard included light.

In all honesty, for pure hunting use I don't see them being better or worse than your CJ. Why are you looking to change? Anything in specific you are looking for that you don't get w/ the CJ?

Thanks, Rick! Honestly I am happy with my CJ..no particular reason to change. I've just heard folks raving about these sights, along with the Vipers, so I thought I look into them. Best regards.

Interesting, Rick...BTW: which is the company that holds the patent?? I know of at least 2 companies (Copper John and Extreme Sights) that use orange aiming rings.

CJ owns it, if Extreme is still using it they are either paying royalties or seeing how far they can get before CJ lays the smack down. I discussed this in person with the owner of Copper John last winter when I stayed at his house, so this is first hand knowledge............not rumor.

Thanks...I knew you'd know. :D Guess Extreme is walking the line. My eye is drawn to the orange more so than with white or yellow rings. I'll stick with the CJ on my new rig.
