I've had some good bows, but I can honestly say that my current bow, an '05 Bowtech Patriot is my favorite.

Prior to this past year my favorite hunting bow was probably the original Hoyt Havoc with the Redline cam. That was back in 2000 or so IIRC. I had a chance to pick one up a year or so ago and shoot it next to a more current offering. The difference was dramatic. Bow design has come a long way since then.

Now my favorite hunting bow is the Diamond Black Ice. I love the combination of shot feel, speed, accuracy and portability.

I had a '98 Jennings Airmaster named Cookie Monster... and I shot piles of deer with it. I really loved that bow, despite the fact that it kicked like a rifle, was a total bear to draw, and sounded like a bomb going off. I retired it in spring of this year. Well,Cookie isn't technically"retired," but I gaveher to a relative of mine whohas zero (maybe less than zero) chance of ever killinganything with it. Sad really, when you think about it.

That said, it wouldn't hold a candle, performance-wise, to my'07 HCA IronMace (also aptly-named "Cookie Monster"). The new bow is really growing on me.

Liar......how can a guy wear Treebark, shoot a 10 year old bow and kill bucks like you do? Something doesn't smell right here. [8D]
