I'm not even going to vote. This poll is just another attempt to stir the pot, so I'll just grab some popcorn and sit back and enjoy the show.

Both/Neither.

Unless it is anuisance critter, if you shoot something you should eat it/use itor give it to someone who will, whether it carries some sort of trophy quality or not.

There. End of debate.

Um, I think this is going to cause a bit of an "uproar".

Shooting young deer is not unethical, if you make a good shot. I mean, if you're starving and you shoot a young deer, you shot a young deer.

What? I must be reading that wrong.
So how young is young? 2 1/2? 3 1/2? 6 months?

I say see deer shoot deer. And of top of that, I say do it w/ the lightest, fastest arrow you can find!

It's more ethical to shoot "deer" for herd balance.

On long trips, for big game, my family never brought home the rack. It was too heavy for the pack out and you can't eat it.

Shoot what makes you happy. There isn't anything unethical about either scenario presented in the poll.

I can think of some unethical things, but the 2 in the poll are not in the list.

I don't know if its so much ethics, I find it to be more about egos.
Good point. I have seen, thoughout the years, people refer to this matter as a matter of ethics. That is why i posted it. Im curious to see where it all goes.

You would think. Im inclined to say as much. But the term gets thrown out there all the time about being unethical for shootingyoung bucks but nothing said about shooting young doe. Ive even seen a person on this board call someone unethical for shooting a young buck, then turn around and say they only shoot young doe. Go figure.
