We are getting some logic way out of left field on here guys. Somehow, if someone speaks out in support of gun hunters they are now being labelled as someone that should tolerate trespass or invite the whole world to hunt on their property or in their stand. Otherwise they are a hypocrite. I'm at a real loss to follow the thinking there. I mean hell, I am happy for other guys to hook up with good looking women, but that doesn't mean that I'm gonna loan them my girlfriend. Think it thru.
Some of you more radical folks might try use a little common sense here. If all of the gun hunters disappeared today, the anti-hunters would eat you bowhunters alive by the next day. Think aboutit. |

Thanks BHF, but I think that we are gonna quickly hear some dissenting voices. This thread is rapidly degenerating into a classic example of the saying that you can't fix stupid or argue with crazy. The only bright spot is that the poll numbers continue to indicate that over half of the folks on here have some common sense. That's encouraging.

Newsflash: If you really wanted your fellow hunters to get a deer, you'd leave the guy alone and hope that he gets one. Maybe even go out and say "Hey buddy, you might want to try that stand over inthe northeast field corner." Whether he "has permission" shouldn't matter, b/c you're obviously welcoming guys to come in and hunt and be successful, right? Nahhh, they'retaking down license plate numbers and calling in the law. A fellowhunter is only a trespasser when the landowner won't let him hunt. If you'reTRULY rooting for everyone else (and not just blowing smoke)- that would never happen. Right? Your land would be open to everybody! You guys crack me up. You're just as greedy as the next guy,but yajust can't admit it. |

Wrong. He will no longer be trespassing once you give him permission! It's real easy:"Hey buddy, you must be lost, this is private property. That's okay though. I'm rooting for you, because I'm a team-player! Tell ya what!There's a stand up the hollow you might want to check out. It's GREAT!" A fellowhunter is only a trespasser when the landowner won't let him hunt. If you'reTRULY rooting for everyone else (and not just blowing smoke)- that would never happen. Right? Your land would be open to everybody! Someone who tresspasses to go hunting is a poacher, not a hunter. Period. I am TRULY rooting for everyone who hunts LEGALLY, you goofball. :eek: |

No, its called you being totally off-base in terms of offering a rational argument to support your position.
If we are gonna just make up wild crap out of the blue and throw out outrageous statements then I'll give it a try. I had to quit allowing bowhunters to use my land because they were all cooking meth in the deer stands. Left empty drano-O bottles and sudafed packs scattered all over the place. On the other hand several gun hunters that i allowed to use my land have named me in their wills and wanted me to marry their hot young daugthers[:-] |

I dont know about where you guys live but most of the guys ,not all of them,that only gun hunt around herewill be in the woods for the first time all year. The guys that do both gun and bow hunting are what I would realy call deer hunters. I also know that there are some guys that physically cant do it but would if they could. So Im not against gun hunters, even though I would like to see them shorten the gun season in Indiana.
