So New61375 - you're saying: "I hope you guys all have a great season...as longyou're not shooting atthe deer that I'm trying to hunt."

Translation: "I hope the whole world has a great season.... All except for this one teensy weensy little area in my little slice of heaven, where I hope everyone gets skunked - except for me and my buddies. My buddiesare allowed to shoot any buck except the big one, which is reserved for me and only me."
Man you took that one out of the park
Good luck, and stay off my land

Now, i know why this thread sounds familiar, It reminds me of the argument that i had with my 3 year old about whether turtles sleep.

Sorry Arthur, but you won't be able to gun hunt. The only way to truely prove your support of other gunhunters is togive that rifle to someone to use.

I've been thinking about it for a long time, but this thread has pushed me over the edge. I'm treating myself to a rifle for Christmas and hunting with it before the end of the season. It'll be the first time I've rifle hunted in 20 years and I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Most especially since I know it'll piss off nearly half the guys here.
Don't do it, don't venture to the dark side!!!!!

Why bother? You still won't get anything. It wouldn't matter if you bought a heat seeking missile or a Blackhawk helicopter with whitetail night vision and a deer navigation system.

So germ, you can't see the slightest glimmer of hypocrisy in a guy who:
[ol][*]He gets online and says "Oh yeah, I hope EVERYONE has a great season! I support ALL hunters ALL the time, because I'm a big advocate of hunters being successful!"[*]Then he proceeds to kill a big buck in archery season on his posted privateproperty.[*]In themonth to follow, he deniesaccess to 10 random guys who stop toask permissionto hunt his place during gun season.[/ol]

You see a proud landowner who can do what he wants with his own property.

I see a greedy hypocrite who couldn't care less about whether Joe Schmoe gets a deer. He's got his, and that's all that matters.
Nope, Joe can have what a land owner has, he just has to work for it.

Here you go Fran

Life is not fair, my wife and I both paid for our educations, while others had parents whopaid for it. They did not have to work, they got to have fun. If someone really cared about me having fun. They would have paid for my education, so I could have fun.[&:]

I think in China no one owns anything, have at it. Private ownership is one of many great things about USA.
I am sure you care about starving people, as you eat your T-bonewith taters on the side.

Socailize anything does not work.

or as my favorite quote

"Socialization will work, just the right people have not been in charge yet", LMAO

I guess I am not understanding the point? If I don't own the land beyond being courteous to one another how can I control who hunt's where.Another hunter has as much a right to it as I do.
Do I wish a stranger well,Yes I do.Am I going to give themthe key's to the castle not likely.Their discovery of prime area's should come as a result of their own efforts.I don't expect any one to direct me to their prime locations, and if I choose to direct someone to mine it is my choice not my obligation. There is a secretive nature to hunting area's.You lower your guard and bring someone in to one of your good area's and all of a sudden it is their spot.
This may be what Fran is getting at,I don't know. There is a reason that I do most of my hunting alone,I do not want these issues to arise.Success in hunting is much like success in any thing else it is typically earned.
Do I wish everyone success yes,do I hope that I will not be competing in area's I wish to hunt yes,if I am is there any thing I can do about it no.No Ill feelings that's just the way it is.

Wrong. He will no longer be trespassing once you give him permission! It's real easy:"Hey buddy, you must be lost, this is private property. That's okay though. I'm rooting for you, because I'm a team-player! Tell ya what! There's a stand up the hollow you might want to check out. It's GREAT!"

A fellowhunter is only a trespasser when the landowner won't let him hunt. If you'reTRULY rooting for everyone else (and not just blowing smoke)- that would never happen. Right?

Your land would be open to everybody!

You guys crack me up. You're just as greedy as the next guy,but yajust can't admit it.
That is like trying to rationalize this statement:

I'm not a big football fan, but I don't have a problem with people watching the super bowl in their home, at a bar or heck I have even had people over to my house to watch it. So in your mind it is perfectly ok for someone to break into my house and steal my tv to watch the game? If they break into my house I'm supposed just say hey it's ok buddy, sit down and we'll watch the game together, after all we are both football fans (which really I am not).

Your logic makes absolutely no sense. There is a big difference between not wanting others to hunt your land trespassing or not and wishing bad luck on someone else. If you can't see the line between the two you are hopeless. My girlfriends autistic son is easier to rationalize with.

This thread has gone far into depths of the twilight zone, but dang if it doesn't provide some good entertainment value.

I hope every underpriviledged child in america has a spectacular Christmas filled with love and joy and presents and the typical Christmas festivities.

Does that mean I am a hypocrite if I don't invite them all to my house for a Christmas party where I supply all the presents and love them like they are my own children?

I wish every starvingAIDS orphan in africa had a set of loving healthy parents and 3 full meals everyday with clean water to drink and wash with.

Am I a hypocrite if I don't travel to them or bring them to me so that I can provide all those things?

Hmmmm....I didn't read all the pages, so sorry if I stole this argument from someone who already made it.

well, you are certainly gonna see a few one-way flights into the twilight zone when some of the folks try to justify their votes in a poll like this.
