In My personal experience, its always been that a successful bowhunt was more "exciting" than a successful Shotgun hunt.

That said - its not a fair comparison. For the most part - in bow Season - our deer are unaware that they are being hunted. And come gun season - they are very very much aware that a hunt is going on. I won't say I've not enjoyed mydeer hunts ( I very much do)- but they are completely different than a one-on-one bowhunt in October or early November.

I would take them gun hunting, without a doubt. When you're young, all you want to do is kill a deer, it doesn't matter what you do it with. I'm 18 and I feel like I just moved out of that phase this year.
