Never had one clog up. Only took 2 does with them before Igave the Slick Tricks to try. The ST's are so awesome that I never went back to anything else. I keep the Montecs for back ups and Coyote heads when I want to fling one without messing up my Tricks!

Well I went and looked up the Slick Tricks And i liked the price a lot better on them and i liked the hole that they left in that naked bear and the accuracy looked good to.a

the point is that ive noticed that when i go help my friend track deer that they bleed good for about 50 yards and then it goes to nothing and he looses a lot of deer and they all do the same thing and he shoots montecs

The question you want to ask is:

What type of bloodtrails do you get with Montecs
Well I am 15 for 15 with them;)

I understand now, I was confused

That cool I guess my friend isnt hitting them good or something cuz he looses a bunch. He swears he is hitting them good. Congrats on 15 for 15 though. u must be hitting them better i guess.

If you make a good shot, clogging up doesnt make a difference. I shoot montecs and both deer I have shot with them have gone under 30 yards.

You also won't find a more durable head than a montec.. they do need some sharpening out of the box.

well bud, don't want to be the one to break this to ya, but i am 5 for 5 and would have to say that your buddy isn't hitting them good. If you hit the spot, they are as lethal as any head on the market....and as was stated are VERY durable, onmy doe this year hadthe headpunch through the thickest portion of the shoulder blade and lodged in the opposite leg andits still in my quiver!

although, yes....my montecs got extremely clogged with lung tissue and blood clot when they were sent through a 160" 11 pointer this year.I would hint to your buddy to practice! These heads are very straight shooters as well!
