Retire your arrows or call them lucky?

RE: Retire your arrows or call them lucky?
I retired the arrow I killed my first deer with, but now I just clean them off and reuse. Too dang expensive to just...put away. Now, I did retire the arrows I shot my buck w/ this fall.......BUT, that's because that son of a gun had the audacity to bust all 3.....[:@]

I've got one in my quiver right now that I KNOW has been through three deer, this year. The no. 1 (forst one I nock) still has blood on it. Flies true.....and a/c/c's aren't cheap. I have some that have been bent and others that may make it into a shadow box I'll be doing for my basement......but they have no sentimental value with me. Just tools....

i haven't taken a deer with a bow yet, but i plan on retiring the arrows if the deer is mount worthy, for does i'll reuse them...
edit - i need to revise this... should read.... for does and other none trophy deer i'll reuse them... for a mountable deer i'm saving the arrow and broadhead to be displayed with the deer...

RE: Retire your arrows or call them lucky?
Ive got arrows ive shot several animals with. I shot two deer this year with the same arrow. Not because its lucky, just after cleaning it and checking it, I put it back in the case, and just happened to grab it when I went out hunting. Every arrow ive got has been in at least two animals.
