RE: Talk about LOCKED together !!!!

a .40 cal service lenth pistol, at a moving target from what was probably 20 yards......hmmm I might buy it if it were a kimber or something. and the deer was sleeping....

holy smokes. I shoot probably more than I should. I know I could do it, but not at a moving target. too unpredictable. there was a fair amount of luck mixed in with that guys skill. after 15 yards, hitting a 2" square becomes EXTREMELY difficult with a tactical sidearm. That guy should get a medal or something.

I believe it!!! Number 1 I am guessing he was whole lot closer than 15 yards with the bucks being locked up. And I have seen one of our firearm instructors take my 40 cal glock at 45 feet and put three shots in a 2 inch circle and the shots all were touching each other!! Walt

RE: Talk about LOCKED together !!!!

I'm sure the CO was able to get fairly close with the bucks locked together. It wouldn't be an easy shot, but I bet it could be done. I've seen stories with 2 bucks locked together and they would hog tie the live one and cut the others antler off. I even read one story where both were alive and they cut one of the antlers. So if you can get close enough to saw and antler off you can get close enough to shoot one off too.
