my sons bow has one and it works great. . he loves the containment on the draw and still holding it on a slow let down . great rest i would like one on my bow

I can proabably add a little extra comparitive input since I had the Drop Zone on my last bow and switched to the QAD this year.

I have the LD on one bow and the HD on another. Personally, I don't see a bit of difference between the HD and LD.

As far as comparison to the Drop Zone, take all of the good features on the Drop Zone and the QAD has them. It's quiet, reliable, easy to set up, easy to tune, and does not have bounce back. I like the tuning on the QAD better than the Drop Zone because on my previous bow my perfect centershot was between the two screw holes so I was never able to get a perfect centershot. It was only about half a millimeter off, but I'm anal. Take all of those good features and add to it that it locks up and is full containment and does not got down as you let down where your arrow could fall off and I can't think of a better hunting rest.

The only complaint I would have is the arms are plastic. Now I have never broken one and I use my equipment hard, but it could happen. The good news is that if you did break one it would not effect your hunt. The rest would still work, but the effectiveness of the full containement would be gone.

Bottom line I loved my Drop Zone and like the QAD rests that much more so that says a lot.

MO.....you know how much I shoot. I had a little noise issue in '05 with "another" rest;);)......and put the QAD on at my shop owner's suggestion.

I've never looked back. I have had NO issues (negative) with the rest. I just got lucky.....and have a good shop owner;).

I put one on my son's bow (my backup, this year) and it's performed flawlessly, too. I plan on putting it on his new Guardian.....and "might" put one on my new Airborne. I'll be asking a similar question about what rest to put on a 3D bow.

They seem to be a pretty decent rest. I am not completely sold on the idea of inertia driven rests. The people who get them tuned right, seem to really like them, but I've seen numerous accounts of people having contact issues.


I think the whole full containment thing for hunting is a bit overrated. Most rests, I know my Limbdriver did, come with a arrow holder that sticks to your riser. It will hold my arrow no matter what, I can turn it completely upside down. I've never had a problem with the arrow comming out and I do alot of spot and stalk.

If I was going to get a QAD, I would get the QAD LD and would not entertain the thought of the QAD hunter model. Do you think a rest that much cheaper, made by the same company is just as good?:D

I disagree. To me it's a no brainer. No chance of the arrow hopping off duringan excited draw like on thetwo prong I hunted with for years.. I like that once it's cocked, I don't concern have to myself with where the arrow is at ever again. To each his own though. That's why this isn't a one size fits all endeavor.
