For a good all around knife I have no use for a trailing point blade........they just aren't real practical for most uses because they snag when dressing and are tougher to sharpen.
Aslight drop point on a 4" blade with a good taper to the tip for fine work is about perfect to me. You can do everything from dressing to boning to caping if you need to. I don't like those blunt style drop points at all except for skinning and even then a fine tapered drop with more of a straight blade works fine and is better all around. You'll see what i mean if Jeff (GMMAT) posts a profile pic of his knife. I have the same one and like it so much it will get passed down to somebody when I croak.;)It's that nice. |

hey thanks fellas!
when I get these last three sheaths done Ill post up some pics and see what yall think, ie which would you prefer as a hunting knife, I think from what ive seen so far two out of them are likely to be the most popular. thanks again and keep em coming folks! lets see your knife! |
