Archery Blinds?

Im shopping for a christmas gift for myself and i was looking for a good archery hunting blind.... weight really isnt an issue but id like something big enough i can move around feely draw easily and all the works. What is a"pimpin" blind that i can look at? I dont really want a Double Bull Blind... something other than that archery hunting spacific.

I use the ASAT and really like it.

The quality is excellent, the pattern works.

Iwould think it would be a good choice for anyone.

I am sure there are others that work well also.

IMHO

I have a GrondMax DX which is an excelent blind for 1/2 the price of a Double bull. Windows all around as well as a roof hatch for fowling. Carbon lined and instant setup with umbrella type structure. Bought it at Basspro.

Are you saying you don't want a pop up blind at all but something more permanent? Also something that could be used for bow and gun? THey are hard to find but Predator Camo makes one and so does Realbark hunting systems I believe.

I've heard that the DB's are super nice, and I've set them up at the shop before, but I simply cannot justify the $$$ even at a discount through the shop. They are the nicest blind I have seen though. I suppose someday I might get one.

With that said I've got 2 seasons on my Ameristep Brickhouse. Both seasons the blind sat outside for 3 months strait each season outside and it still operates well. It got a bit sun bleached, but works perfectly still and it's super light. If I leave it out long enough the deer just get used to it and don't react as long as you have screen covering the top half of the windows, with the bottoms open. Several deer and turkeys have been shot in it now.I've also shot the blind2x now as well but it just won't die.....[:-]. I paid $99 for the blind at the Cabelas store in Hamburg, PA and definitely feel I got my money out of it, and it's still ticking. If I get a SSW wind tomorrow night I will definitely be in that one.

I also have the $99 special from gander mountain. I'm yet to hunt out of it, but it has been out in the same place since early Sept and Dan says it's still in really good shape as of a month ago. I may sit in it tomorrow morning if the wind is right.

I don't know about the DB's but the only thing I'd suggest to you if using one of the same ones I have, is the extra tall foldup chairs that they sell at Cabelas. Blind chairs are a critical part of hunting out of them I think. The windows on both blinds are a bit high with normal canvas folding chairs.

I would like to try the ASAT blind and may next year, we will see. It depends on how much turkey hunting I am planning to do and if I can use it during archery deer season as well.

I want a popup blind most archery spacific blinds you can also rifle hunt out of but the main idea is for an archery blind.
