Cool! Fort Pickett is about 35 miles from me, they have tons of deer!!!

Thanks to this forum I see alot of really tastefully taken photo's. It's funny how the pics are as important as any mount as far as remembering stuff. Nothing like showing your buds (Nonhunting as well) a nice pic.

There could be a dozen winners of the best photo contest.

That is a beautiful deer and some good pics would have gone a long way. especiallyin the paper.

Just don't pick up the dummy rounds you find. We were hunting Ft. Pickett one year and one of the hunting parties hit a trip wire that set off a flare. Talk about scaring someone.

I was thinking kinda the same thing. Wouldn't you go and get a camera somewhere if you shot a deer like that? I mean I've taken some bad photos over the years, but I would go out of my way with a deer like that. Once in a lifetime, and a crappy pic. I just don't get it. I guess I always make sure I've got a camera on me in the woods now.
