Two Story Hunting Blind
 

I have a 12' by 12' shed on the backside of my property. A lot of deer have been passing by the shed daily and I've been thinking (yes, I do have a thought from time to time), since the shed has a flat roof how cool would it be if I built a second story on top of the first, put in a bunk bed and a wood burning stove? Then on the second story put in shooting portals on all 4 sides. I could sleep in the place during hunting season and be able to go upstairs and be hunting within seconds of getting out of bed. Am I making hunting too easy?

Mark, Mark, Mark... You are clearly thinking to much but it would be sweet to wake up in your stand.
Let me know when and I will run some cable for yourTV so you can watch the games while your hunting.Sounds like a kids fort for adults. I wish I had a fort.

The walls of the shed right now are pretty much shot. They will all have to be replaced so I thought while I was at that.....There is some furniture in there now that one of the previous owners left in there so someone was using it for comfort hunting in the past. It also has electricity run to it (but no meter so it's not turned on). I'm thinking I could sit on the second floor and watch for deer and shoot them when they walk by while sitting in warmth. Would be nice with my arthritis. I'll have it built by next summer. Don't need TV though, watching the outdoors is the best show there is!

We have plans to build a log cabin on the backside of our property behind the place we're living in now. Those plans completely include a spiral staircase to small room that'll allow us to "watch" wildlife in the woods behind the cabin.

Heh, that sounds almost exactly like my camp. It's a 10x16 storage building that now is insulated, paneled, has bunk beds, kitchen, heater, TV, DVD/VCR, etc. It's way too far for a bow, but I'd be willing to bet I could shoot a deer 9 days out of 10 out the front window with a rifle. It's exactly 317 yards from one of my most active food plots. Not that I've considered it or anything......:eek:.

They have a TV channel for that too... Then you could be in Iowa and in PA or Illinois or Somewhere at the same time idk i think it would be cool to take a Realtree Roadtrips DVD and watch that while hunting ive taken a little "ipod" with a radio feature and listened to it for a while..

I get bottom bunk because I am afraid of heights LOL. Really I am afraid of heights and am 6' 4" seems kinda stupid to me.
