Best place(s) to buy a new bow

I've been contemplating getting a new bow to replace my trusty Golden Eagle Super Hawk Turbo. The prices for the Matthews and Hoyt bows seem to be pretty high, but they are easily to most popular bows on this MB from what I've seen. I'm not new to this, but I haven't had to shop for a new bow in quite a while and the prices are risen astronomically since I bought the G.E. Since I'm kicking the idea around and haven't even discussed it with my financial advisor (the wife), where are some good places to look for a good deal?

Today's small bucks are tomorrow's trophies.

I have seen some decent deals on e-bay if you don't mind buying a used bow.

Dave now is an excellent time to bow shop for a new bow, last years new bows if not already should be reduced in price to make room for the 2003 bows.

Taz--I agree that now is a very good time to buy a bow. I bought my GE about this time of year back when Bowhunter's warehouse was still in business. It was a last year's clearance at the time and I got it for around $112.00! I'm well aware of the new bow prices, but I'm looking for reasonable and affordable. I have found a few online sources in the past that proved to be good moneysavers and I'm hoping for a repeat performance!

Today's small bucks are tomorrow's trophies.

When did Bowhunter Warehouse go out of business?
I got good deals with them. You can only get a
Mathews or a Hoyt at a bowshot. They make it like
that so they can keep a handle on their prices. <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

Dave I am not sure what kind of bow you are looking for, but I just bought a Browning Ambush, it shoots 270 fps IBO, all the R&D is done by browning and PSE manufactures them. I really like it and with stablizer, silencers, sight, wrist strap and quiver was less than $450. I really like it, however I am one of those folks that could care less what brand a bow is, I want it to feel good to me and perform well, and this bow felt good to me.

I've been looking around a bit since I posted this. I finally visited ebay and was amazed at what they had! Currently there's a Matthew's Legacy listed with the current highest bid at $1.00! I realize that this price is incredible and won't last, but I'm still just &quot;kicking the tires&quot; so to speak.

Sticker--Bowhunter's Warehouse went out of business about 2 years ago. Up until then, I used to buy just about all of my bowhunting stuff from them. I hated to see them go.

Taz--I'm currently looking at Hoyt, Matthews and Bowtech--but I'm open to suggestions. I couldn't find Matthews website.
