What will you do?

What will you guys be doing after the season ends? Shed hunt? Fish? Scout for next year? Shoot the bow? All of the above?

RE: What will you do?

I'll be spending time with my wife and son.....and doing a little fly fishing.:)

I'm going to shoot a few 3D tournaments this year, too.

RE: What will you do?

I thought about shooting 3d tournaments, though it will be just for fun for me, I can't compete with the guys that do it regularly.

I am going to continue the remodeling of my house as $$$ permits

Will scout some during Jan/Feb just to be in the woods and I may also hit a few 3-d shoots

RE: What will you do?

I will definitely shoot as much as I can in the off season, especially now that my son is getting into it. Start thinking about spring turkey season and fishing. Maybe actually get some work done around the house. (Well, I did say "maybe".)

Scouting for next year. My buddy and I hunt mainly public and the public is moving in. [&:]We'll be looking for places that are farther off the beaten path.

RE: What will you do?

Well I'll keep rabbit hunting until Feb. That should be about trout time. Big cold bass fishing as well until late April. Then we chase turkeys until mid/late May. June picks up with new bass tactics, crappie, catfish, trout, etc. That'll keep me busy until September, when bow season starts back up.

RE: What will you do?

I'll be busier when season is over. I'm going to focus on obtaining permission for new properties, shed hunting, scouting and work on stand locations, fishing.......shooting the bow, working at the shop....

AND.....baseball season will be upon me pretty quickly, and I'll be coaching my daughter's softball team again this year. Doing the vacation thing, spending time w/ the wife......Holy cow...I'm ready for next season to get here already so I can relax.....I'm getting all stressed out just thinking about it.

Do a little spring turkey hunting and then a lot of bow fishing.

Spend much more time with my girlfriend (I have been neglecting her for the past two months) and figure out a great way to propose before October!

Right after season (Christmas)might be my most important part of my upcoming/following season... shed hunting and scouting all the fresh sign laid in the snow. Decembers scouting being the most important..rut sign is still very fresh..travel routes and core hangouts get tracked up by deer...etc...

my top springturkey spots and bear hunting spots are all a product of shed hunting as well..

rybohunter 11-28-2007 09:42 AM

RE: What will you do?

I defnitely need to do a lot of scouting in some of the new to me areas I ventured into this fall.

Otherwise the rest of my off season is spent turkey hunting and fishing. I'll still shoot as well too. Both the compounds and trad bows.

RE: What will you do?

Well indoor spots season starts in January here locally and I will be shooting in 2 different leagues, as well as an indoor 3D league as well. That will keep me occupied up until Spring. Spring time I will be shooting a LOT of 3D this year combined with turkey hunting as well, so I will be busy there up until it becomes time to start planting food plots again.........[8D]. By time those are done it will be time to hunt this year.

I also plan to buy a house in there somewhere, I think we have one picked out actually. That will occupy my time during the week I'm sure. I manage to keep pretty busy.
