HonestlyJeff, if you are taking this stuff as aslap, IMO you are taking this thing way too seriously.

Jimmi:

Maybe so. But for a test.....go to the gun hunting forum and post how easy it is to kill deer with a gun vs. a bow. Let me know how that goes (I'm just kidding....but I think you get the point);)

If it were said in another forum (deer hunting), I'd never have responded the first time.

You're right, NY. I can't. But when you post a thread titled "Bow Kills are Easier" in a bowhunting forum......what did you really expect? You're gonna get the guys who gun hunt agreeing with you....a portion of the bowhunting community to pass it off......and a portion that takes it as a mild slap in the face as to how they pursue the whitetail deer.

Call it what it is....."Is hunting unpressured whitetails easier than pressured whitetails"....and I'l give you that, every time.....with ANY weapon. Given.
Iunderstand what you are saying about the thread title, but 9 pages later I think most realize the point he was trying to make despite the thread title being slightly "oversimplified". I don't believe it was intended as a "mild slap in the face", it seems more like an obsevation/opinion and I also don't think people are agreeing justbecause they are gun hunters too. I fall into the group that agrees (not with the topic as the thread title states it) but as a topic that has many different angles I can say that I feelbow hunting is as hard or as easy as the hunter makes it and if you use your states bow seasons to your advantage then killing deer, while it may not be "easy", it certainly is not rocket science.

I guess my whole point is that the topic hasdeveloped into a discussion beyond the "restraints" of the thread title and if we can get past the title there are some good points being made about the seasons/weapons.

NY, GMMAT and I agreed until he apologized. I'd never do that. [8D][8D][8D] And yes it's cute, we're dating.

What about us who kill our deer during rifle season with our bows? I tagged one of my bucks and one of my does during rifle season this year. I always tag my last deer during rifle season. They are much more jumpy, you just got to be more stealthy.

I guess we could turn this debate into, is it easier to date your cousin because of the lack of pressure, or go out and find a nonrelative.:D

I took this buck on the next to last weekend of the season, last year, Burnie.....some 3 weeks into rifle season. I have 5 yahoos that don't know the meaning of "property lines"....hunting around me (had one of them come into my set, Thaksgiving Day, and take a DUMP 35 yds from my stand!:D[:@]

Some would say my deer aren't pressured, though....so it don't count;)(I kid,....I kid!)
