Let me also add......
I don't know how you'd ever "police" it.....but IMHO...there are those HNI forum members who've sort of "Earned the right" to push the envelope a little in respect to what they post. I think Atlas's post about his gun kill was spot-on. I think Frank's (KIDD) was, as well.

Like I said, I am first a bowhunter and that takes priority over gun season, however, a good kill is a good kill and I want to see big bucks down. If I were not a bowhunter I would not have posted a gun kill on here. I feel I know some of you now and would rather put it on here than the gun site, I don't know any of them..

Jeff, I don't think you are an elitist, just a passionate bowhunter and I can respect that. My comment was based on some other threads I have seen lately and many in the past.

We could dissect a lot of these forums if we wanted:
Blackpowder kills go in blackpowder forum.
Crossbow kills go under crossbows.
Turkey hunting under turkey hunting.
Etc. Etc.
I also think there should be a forum titled Need to Vent.
Because we all no how often that comes up and what a range of topics would show up there.

I don't mind. This is where all of the discussion ussually takes place anyway. It is the first
forum topic on the list dealing mainly with deer hunting. I would be willing to bet that if you
swapped the location of General Hunting and Archery Forums in the All Forums listing that
all of the discussionswould now take place there. People go where the other people are,
and that is the easiest place to find.

This is like picking fly poop out of the pepper. I really don't care one way or the other. You can find countless threads that don't fall under the correct heading. No big deal. I think a lot of guys that hang here don't hardly bother with the other sectionsin this place, so if a guy kills a gun buck and has friends up here in the bow forum, why shouldn't he post it up here to show his buddies?
