Fastest bow??

What is the fastest bow you have ever seen? on Chronograph, not hear say. Ive only seen a couple actually graphed, mine was clocked at 309 fps. PSE X force 26" draw at 70 lbs. I know there are much faster bows, let me hear it...

I clocked an x-force at the shop last spring at 339. If I remember correctly it was 29", 62lbs, and a 309 grain arrow.

I also watched someone shoot an 05' 90lb Allegiance using a 320ish grain arrow. It went something ridiculous like 360........[8D]

You guys know I can't resist this one.

My 2007HCA Iron Mace, 29" draw, 70#. 29" Carbon Revolution 5.5 Arrow, 55 grain head. It could go a lot faster if I preloaded the cams and stretched her out to 30".

Quicksilver, you read my mind. I was hoping whoever posted that a few weeks ago would chime in, man that is fast, but is the arrow weight ok for that speed?

RE: Fastest bow??

Yeah, it's a special, ultra-light, ultra-stiffarrow that's specifically designed for HCA bows - up to 75#. It would void the warranty on anything else. The bows themselves come with top-end components (Barnsdale Limbs)and a lifetime warranty to the original owner. Since the arrow is spined so stiff, it can handle the force exerted onto the rear of the shaft (compare to a flimsy, underspined arrow).

I killed both of my bucks this year with that setup - 200 grain shaft with 85 grain Montec head (total weight = 285). It'sshooting in the neighborhood of 350 fps.

If you go to www.highcountryarchery.com - you'll see thebows there. For additional infoon their arrows, either follow the links from their site, ortry www.carbonrevolution.com WARNING: Their website is absolutely terrible.

It's definitely fast. No doubt about that.

Don't take my word for it. Find a dealer and go see for yourself. Some guys find the draw cycle a little stiff, others don't. Some guys are afraid of arrows that light, others aren't. All I know is, with my STS installed, it surely doesn't sound like a bow that's screaming at 370. Also, unlike other "speed bows" - you're working with a big brace height (7 1/4"), which makes it quite easy to shoot.

Fastest speeds I've ever seen, that's for sure.

I've shot quick's bow. Thatthingscreams. I liken the drawcycle to many of the PSE models I've shot. So to me it was nothing, but I can see how some would cringe at it.

Yep, they used to be called the Speed Pro Max, but my shafts say "Carbon Revolution" on them. Not sure why the name change...

If you're a lighter draw length or weight, and you were wary of the speed pro shafts - as an alternative, you could also use the new Gold Tip ultralights and get down to a pretty light weight. You'd have to hit up their spine chart and see where you landed, but... Just thinking out loud...

They definitely sell a 55 grain head, but I've never tried them. I wanted to try a cut-on-contact head, so I went with the Montecs.
