Great deer. Do you always put your arrows in the quiver upside down. That seems pretty dangerous with blades out there. Unless you are using mechanicals I guess. Just curious.

About the broadheads....they are mechanical and yes I always keep them like that. There are only two in there because I shot that buck, then missed a doe 5 min. after I shot him (was still shaking), and lost another arrow coming out of the woods in some thick honeysuckle.

STORY:
Well I was hunting on my cousins ground the evening before shotgun season began. I had a small doe come down the hill and I stood up and was waiting for her to come closer. She got about 60 yards from me and just stopped and kept staring off kinda behind me. I got curious and turned my head about the time I heard him and all I seen were antlers. I came straight at me and presented me with a 20 yard broadside shot. The rest is history. |
