Man Ive searched for 10 hours straight before, and then gone back the next day. Get back out there lol!! Hes definately going to die, thats a shame. As long as you feel you did everything you could bud, and gave your search efforts 110% then thats all you can do.

Ed, ever consider a tracking dog? The breeder of my WH Dachshund tracks in Maryland.

Wait until morning and grid search the area with some help as recommended above. If you want him, you will be able to find him. A gut shot deer won't go far between beds and won't live more than a day or two.

Where are you located in NE Maryland? If you decide to go out tomorrow and would like an extra set of eyes, shoot me a PM (before morning). I live in Harford County so depending where you are, it wouldn't be a problem at all.

hey guys, Thanks for the advice, I intend on going back tomorrow to give it another shot, after 4 hrs this morn i was beat and my help had to quit, so i figured I'd leave him for another night, if he was still alive today he might be salvageable tomorrow since its been in the 30's at night..
Marked the last spot of sign on my GPS, the problem we ran into was as the brown guts/blood dried it was impossible to see, i think we'll just do a grid search and get 4-5 people... keepin my fingers crossed! |

Well guys, it may be bad news for me today, rain showers moving through the area... If I find him it will be dumb luck at this point... Got my fiance and some friends to help me after church today...I'll keep ya posted....
Hopefully I'll see some buzzards. |
