on the only buck I ever got I cut around them but left em hanging (I actually didn't even do this on purpose, just forgot!). When we got him back to the house, we cut 'em off and voila!....instant dog treat. he gobbled it up in about 3 bites, the sick puppy!

Here in Michigan....My Dad always taught me to hang em up in a tree.....Had a bud with me one time..his first time, and I had to fling them at him....just for the laughs....then they made it to the tree branch.
