RE: Hunting Public land

Here you're not supposed to leave stands in the woods. I have found climbers at the base of trees near where I wanted to hunt (was already heading there and came upon stand). I wouldn't touch the stand, it isn't mine, but the land isn't his and I had just as much right to hunt the area so I just moved off 20-30 yards and used my own climber. Obviously if the stand was in use I would have moved off.

RE: Hunting Public land

I hunt public land and I'll leave my stand there only when I'm coming back in the morning, or if I go to the van to eat or something and then come back later. If I find someone in it, he's coming off it real quick, one way or another.
