hey gr8atta2d, yea the upright portion of the seat part. mine has no male and female clips. I talked with lone wolf today and they said they are making a new seat to come out next year. said I was supposed to put a bungee around the tree and hook it to the bungee that is threaded thru the top part of the seat.
