Just curious......
I can't be the only one who's nose runs constantly when it's cold out and I'm on stand. Last Saturday I was on stand for 11.5 hours without getting out of the tree. It was snowing when we headed in and snowed straight until 10:30ish, when it turned into sleet/freezing rain for the rest of the day. My nose ran the entire time, and by dark the back of both jacket sleeves were stiff as a board [8D], and my nose was as raw as you can imagine. Even today, my nose is so raw from last week, I had to blow my nose earlier today and it was so sensitive that it made my eyes water touching it with the tissue.
What do you use to blow/wipe your nose on stand when it's bitter? Does anyone else have this problem? Any thoughts? |

I find a hankerchief works best. Usually if you send them through the wash a couple of times they are pretty soft and easy on the nose.

I feel your pain. This year I havent had to worry, it has not gotten cold here yet. But yea, that drive me crazy. I try to keep a hanky with me when im in the field.

It kinda creates a little "funnel".....your upper lip cleft does!;)

sorry

RE: Just curious......
I will also put some scent free lotion in a film tube, the real small ones, and take it on stand with me, so you can lotion up your nose once it begins to get raw. I have had times where skin breaks and i begin to bleed because the skin is so dry...and believe me, that HURTS

RE: Just curious......
Yea, get a big hankerchief. It will last a full day unless you have a really bad cold
