I just got back from our week long bowcamp near Atlanta MI. I had a GREAT hunt! I had deer in bow range every time out. Most were does and yearlings, but I did have two encounters with a nice 10 point. I was glassing the ridge when he snuck in behind me. I never knew he was there until I put my bino's down. He was 20 yards and broadside when he blew at me and took off! I blew it! Oh well.

The next day, I took a nice mature doe at 6 yards from my tree saddle. I made a good shot, and she only went 40 yards before piling up. 30 minutes later, the same 10 point from the day before came by and started sniffing the doe I just killed! I tried calling him closer, but he knew something was up and wouldn't come in.

Two days later, I moved to a new location. I had deer around me all morning. About 9 am, a doe ran by at 12 yards with a nice buck right on her tail. I stopped him with a mouth bleat and let the arrow fly. I made a perfect heart shot! He ran 175 yards on an all out death sprint and piled up in the meadow. He's not huge, but he has a 16" spread and he offered a perfect broadside shot. He would have been an 8 point but he has two tines broken off on his right side.

I had a great season. It started out really bad, going 11 consecutive hunts without a deer sighting. But this last week made up for it. I had a ball hunting with my dad and cousin. What a week - two deer in two days!

Congrats also on a great week of hunting. I have another buck tag left. I have seen a couple huge bucks in my area just can't get them close enough!
