Thumbs up or down??

What do you guys really feel about Rage heads? I see where guys get God awful hole in the deer, however, the biggest complaint is no penetration. Is it true? I shoot Muzzy and always get the penetration and usually get pass throughs so blood trailing is good. I just though about the Rage b/c of the cutting Diameter.

RE: Thumbs up or down??

I've used Rocky mountain Gators which are a 2" two blade for years and always had complete pass through. I recently looked to buy some new Gators, but now they are Gator XP's and have been updated to the cut blade tip just like the Rage. The older style I have used had the trocar tip that I feels gives a better chance for braking bone and passing thru instead of the bladed tip sticking in the bone.

rages are good imo... they leave devastating results and both deer i have shot with them are complete pass-throughs. the only problems i have with them are the blades not locking in place

I've taken 6 or so whitetails with the Rage heads this season. The only problems I've experienced had NOTHING to do with these heads. Placed correctly.....they are absolutely devastating.

Penetration? An issue? Hardly. I shot my buck w/ the 3 blade version, and it busted completely through the near side shoulder blade and lodged in the offside blade....Put him down like a sack of potatoes.....Of course, the head was completely destroyed, but it did it's job..
