opening day of the second deer season
well I got to my stand about 6:30a.m. and set a buck bomb off then waited till it got light out then I started rattling antlers and grunting to but nothing came in.I was in my stand for 2hr then I left and came back around 4 p.m. and sat for another 1.5 hours but still nothing came. does anyone know what to do to get the bucks to come in???

i would definately be out in the woods longer like for example be out in your stand sooner because that will allow you to get out there before everything starts moving which could be the reason you arent seeing any bucks

Yeah Iwould say to spend more time on stand. get out 1/2 hour to 45 min before light, pack some smamiches and a magizine or book...and just sit and watch...and listen.....

I think if you put an extra hour or hour and a half on each of those trips you will see some deer. Don't forget your scent control and playing the wind, as well.

Like others have said...time.
I don't know where you are hunting, but at this time of the year most guys that want to kill a buck try to spend all day. If you are too ansty to do that, try having two stands setup so the scenery changes. Hunt the first one until 10:30 or 11:00, then immediately move to the next stand and spend the rest of the day there.

yeah ok I'll try that next time but these black tails are hard to hunt with a bow because they don't stay on the same track every day like white tails do so that makes it a little harder also
