My Dad killed this guy at 8:00 this morning. Was chasing a doe along with a smaller 7 point.
He passed this buck a few weeks ago, but the season is winding down and he got a little antsy.

This is one time it shows in the pics. We pin our tags inside the ear and tuck them in for safe keeping. We use a big safety pin because, well, every buck from PA is mountable ya know! Saves from damaging the ear.

He's spoiled...he has arrowed much bigger in the same area.
He's 67 though and doesn't like the taste of tag soup, so he tries to put one on the ground before the season ends. His standards drop in the last days of bow season.
Personally...I'd have shot that buck on the FIRST day of the season!
