Hunting in the rain

Do you guys bowhunt in the rain? If so what techniques do you guys use? I plan on going out tomorrow afternoon but it says it's gonna rain and I don't think using the climber is gonna be a good idea.

Really rough rain I dont bother. Just a little sprinkle here and there then I would be in the woods. Just use the same strategy. It will help cover scent and sound. Just becareful cause stand get slick in the rain.

I killed my biggest/wildest buck in the rain. I was sitting in a homemadeladder stand, 4x4 green treated platform with a boat swivel seat in the middle, about 25' off the ground. It started off with a little mist, then light rain, then itbegan to pour! It poured on and off for the 3 hours I was there. Didn't use any techniques, buck just came in looking for a doe. I guess the cooler weather/rain combination got him up and moving. That deer is on my wall now!

I hunt in the rain, sleet, snow, whatever. Can't shoot one from the couch generally (unless you have a really sweet house/land combo!) When it's raining hard I like to still hunt. Get down on the ground and slowly stalk through thickets and pines.

I will hunt in the light rain, but if it starts to rain hard I go home because I don't what to lose a deer because of no blood trail and if it thunder and lighting i get out of it. I had a friend die because he was struck by lighting. We have to much metal on us and it could make us a lighting rod.
