rut activity in central IL
 

Any one on here seen any good rut activity in central IL. I hunt Morgan County IL and was out sunday and last night. Sunday had 10 deer around me and 2 were bucks an 8 point and one fork horn. None of the does or the bucks seemed to be interested in each other. Last night there were 6 does in a field eating no bucks around them at all. Just was wondering if anyone has seen chasing going on in central IL.

I am in southeastern Illinois...south of I-70 so I guess you could say I am south of Central Illinois:D. The bucks are chasing does here. This morning a young buck was grunting and chasing a doe like crazy. Yesterday morning a big 10 pt. was semi-chasing two does. He wasn't after it hard. Right now is the time to be in the woods!

I am up in Northern Illinois and the activity here has been great. Husband took 2 bucks in 1 week, 1st one was working a scrap and 6 days later the 2nd one was chasing a doe. Hope this helps and good luck to you.
