It took my wife awhile to eat it. She would try it but inevitabley spit it out. She kept trying though. I just had to keep trying new recipes that she might like.
Here the rub that works best. brown sugar, ginger(powder), garlic, salt, pepper and parsley. mix seasoning and rub on backstrap. Wrap in celaphane and put in fridge overnight. Throw it on the grill. If your wife likes her meat WELL done there is little hope. I find venison gets more gamey when cooked all the way through.
The next thing I recommend is killing a younger deer where legal....... its sad to say but a fawn might just turn the wife into a deer eating machine. Refrain from giving newbies an older buck.
Keep tryin and good luck. As long as she will try one bite then you might get her to change. Just tell her that if she doesn't like it she can spit it in her napkin. And remember that meat tastes the way it was handled........ cut off all sinew and fat. Taste it yourself too....... if you don't think she will like it then tell her and say 'you don't have to try any this time'

My wife never cared for my Bucks.. Last year I shot a young doe we devoured it in a few months.

I have everything cubed..no bone no fat, no white layer..nothing but pure meat.

Some scraps are made to burger for tacos etc.. My buck last year tasted gamey.. The doe was long since gone!

I dont know who looks foward to hunting season more me or my wife. She tells me I better get some meat, she LOVES it!

Never had a complaint from the wife or any of the kids with venison. Always a good choice for dinner.

My wife likes venison in moderation. Try a good venison stew using a tomato base. The acid breaks down the venison and makes it very tender. Yummy!

My whole family loves it ....... I try to get 3 deer/ year ......so far counting the ones I have killed, I have 3 more to get [:o]

My wife was almost made last night. I came in from cutting up and packaging a doe I shot and a buck my buddy shot, and was eating some left over t-loin fajitas. She said she wanted to take that to work for lunch. Too Late. Kill your own. No really I've got a great wife and 6 month old daughter. The wife really likes deer meat.

We ain't married yet, but my girl loves venison and bless her soul, she tries to cook:D.

my wife refuses, i'm gonna have to sneak it in on her... she'd cook it, but i don't trust her on the grill... if she added it to chili then we'd be set cuz she makes a good chili

You might try chicken frying it. Thats the only way I have gotten my wife to eat it..... besides in chili where you cant really taste any meat anyways.
