weather and rut

is hunting during the peak rut/rut worth it with approximately 20 mph winds? will the deer still be moving like they would with good conditions?

Well we are facing 22mph winds today with rain/snow. I'll be out for a short after work hunt. I know for sure I have 0 chance on my couch!

last night in Illinois i saw 13 deer, mix between bucks/doe in 20-25 mph winds. Get out there and hunt if you can!

With the rut, you can never tell. Only know if you get out. Id stick to funnels and cover.

What kind of answer did you expect here? Get out and hunt, of course. The "big one" is not going to follow routines and norms. That is why he is the big one.

They smell an estrus doe they will be on the move.. I've killed bucks moving in some pretty serious snow storms, winds blowing hard etc.. not the best conditions but during the rut.. I'd be out there.. There is always that chance the wind or storm will die down for a bit and deer will move then too.. I killed my buck in Oct with 16-19 mph winds.. right before dark it died down..he got up out of his bed to feed.
