Droptine, the bucks I hunt are pressured pretty good. For some reason that 10-2 thing hardly ever plays out for me. The first hour of the morning and the last hour of the day is when I see em moving. But that could be that I am not good at setting up to see them at that 10-2 period...I think it may be my stand locations.

Last year shot the biggest buck of my life, Thanksgiving Day, at 2 PM... All day sits will get you what you want.

Is it wise to rattle during this time or let them come to you?

I just got through reading an article in the QDM publication. They radio collared several mature wild bucks and studied their movement. Overall even during the rut the bucks were least active during daylight hours. Most activity occurs YEAR AROUND right before first light and right after last light. Most activity that is.

Every deer I've ever shot and killed has been in the golden hour in the morning or night. I have had many all day sits and have never seen a deer.
