I've never missed at 15 yards. Man what where you thinking...do you practice? To answer your question...nope not 15, but I have missed at 5 yards on the biggest buck of my life 2 years ago.

Well yes I have. 29 years ago when I was 14 years old, I first started hunting deer with a recurve bow, I will always remember that shot, I drew back and let her fly, the lower bow limb hit a branch upon release and I shot over the deer. Those old recurves were long. Brings back memoroies.

I've missed a bunch within 15 yards, several within half that distance, including a few low nicks. I've also blown many opportunities by moving at the wrong time, arrow fall off rest, etc.

Finally I gave myself a good talking to. I was seeing deer, goodclose kill opportunities every year. Hitting a target the size of a deer's vitals is realatively easy within 20 yards. There was really no excuse for me not making kills. So I started analyzing every mistake, and eliminating them. Bottom line: it is all about overcoming buck fever (which I am very vulnerable to).
