FINALLY! after 3 years of bowhunting i got one on the ground this morning. I wish i could say it is a monster 10 point but it's only a button buck. Called him in with some rattling. He came in and gave me a 30 yard broadside shot. I guess i got nervous and shot over him. I thought, crap, hunts over. Nope. He came back in at 20 yards and i smoked him. He went 50 yards and fell over. He's not very big but he'll taste good.

Congrats on your first. A Button buck was the very first deer I shot(yrs ago)with a shotgun. It was the only deer I took with a shotgun......I bought a Bow and never went back!

My husband and I want you to realize that any deer you get with a bow is a trophy. Size doesn't matter. Be proud of your kill and brag about it until the cows come home.

Well aside from the lack fo smile you did a good job with the picture and congrats on your first deer. The 10pt monsters will come in time, but getting that first one all by yourself fuels the fire for the next season and every one after that. My first deer was a little 5" spike many seasons ago and you couldn't have convinced me that it wasn't some new state record at the time.:D
Be proud of that deer and enjoy the backstraps........they'll make youbig and strong and give you the ability to SMILE when you shoot the next one.;)
