grunt call cadence
hey guys. i want to use my grunt call effectively, so i was wandering what actual sequences you use for dif. situations. i have been just using a simple, "errrrtt" for a few seconds? is that correct? or can i get more aggressive, something like "errrrtttt, ert, ert" I just dont know what cadence to use. like with a crow call its "who cooks for you, who cooks for you all" but im not sure what to use for the grunt call. any ideas? thanks alot

RE: grunt call cadence
I usually use some short bursts, (er, er,er,er er) occasionally I will draw out the last grunt. I also like to cup the end and change the sound direction. This is if I am blindly grunting. If I see a deer I will grunt softer and shorter, if he responds. I will stop. They will usually stop and look for a while, sometimes a few minutes then they will either walk towards you or keep going the way they were headed. IF They are headed toward me, I don't grunt at all until they get close and I need them to change direction. My 2 cents
