Hey Rob

You might have to make your "what to do after the shot" post mandatory reading for every one who tries to "log in" it sure seems like every day we get a new guyasking whatdo I do now? Right after posting that after making a poor shoot they chased the deer jumping many times then loosing all the blood.

Its like this every year. To be honest the reading probably helps somewhat, but experience takes the cake. Live and learn. We've all been there......help them through it and hopefully they will learn fromthe mistakes.

Maybe try not berating the ones that come here asking for help.

That would be novel.

If we were really sportsman we would set up a mentoring program. So when it happens they can call the cloeses HNI member, and they could come help.

We know Rob did this, I would be willing to help.

We would have a contact list for guys in their area.

Great idea I'm in.

But how are you going to get them to call before they jump the deer twice.

Its posted on top of the page, its talked about every day here ,but time and time again they just can't walk out of the woods with doing as much harm to a succesful recovery as possible.
