RE: Have you ever cried?
Well. I get pretty choked up (occasional tear)whenever i get to my deer. I'm not sure why. It's actually a moment of sadness for the animal. Maybe it's that i appreciate so much that his life was given to me so that I can enjoy hunting. But it is actually some sadness
Hard to explain |
RE: Have you ever cried?
No, I think I do understand. I have taken animals and then thought about the animal all night and even wishing that I hadn't taken it. This was years ago, before i really understood what God meant about having domain over all of theearth and its creatures on it. I now see that we are at the top of the food chain, and we need to continue to do our part. I also love to hunt big bucks, it is my primal scream, as Ted says. Nothing wrong with crying, Ive never done it, in fact I never cry over anything, What the hellis wrong with me????? LOL!!

RE: Have you ever cried?
ORIGINAL: bowman15 I got pretty upset over a miss last year, but I've never cried over hitting one. My front sight was loose and I missed a GIANT 8-pointer at 7-yards, from the ground, with him broadside and looking away. i expect that when my oldest takes his first i'll get a bit misty as well... I'm sure my dad did when i took my first... |
RE: Have you ever cried?

RE: Have you ever cried?
Is that the one where he shot it just about straight on facing him and then said afterwards that at that distance he could put an arrow thru a lifesaver? Very poor shot selection but I do love his wackyness. I usually rewind him and then watch it again with the sound off, his faces are priceless. As far as crying, never have, just shake a lot.
ORIGINAL: JoeRE Thats crazy stan potts of the 'i had to take that shot!' club.;) Anybody remember when he said that? AS for your question....have i cried....only once. when i lost adeer in a river. it was my fault, i jumped him too soonand learned a lesson i wish others would learn in an easier way! if i make a good hit i just feel HIGH. |
RE: Have you ever cried?

RE: Have you ever cried?
Most times I don't show too much emotion,I usually bow my head and give thanks to my Hevenly Father. But on a couple Bucks,a Russian Boar, and a Sheep I did get an overcharged adrenalin rush.

RE: Have you ever cried?
I think I sheda few tears when I found a buck the next morning after hitting him in the shoulder the night before. I really thought he was a gonner. He came into my scent like I had never seen a buck do before, and the excitement of it just made the hunt all that more emotional. This buck was sprinting into my scent bombs like a madman. It was unbelievable.
The only other time I cried due to something "positive" was when I was in eighth grade. My football team beat a known powerhouse in my league. After that last second on the clock lapsed and I ran into my team's post game huddle I was crying my eyes out. |
