New Illinois
 
in a recent post about if you could go one place to whitetail hunt i was thinkin In a couple of years what do you guys think will be the number 1 whitetail state still illinois ?

Buffalo or Sauk County WI. In my homegrown opinion.

Illinois would have to be right up there? (Southern) seem to get alot of Press, and its going to coast you a arm and a leg to hunt down there, else you live there, and then you"ll have people driving around all the country roads. Thats why i like my little spot here in Indiana? Its fast becoming a Buck Haven!

Southern is not even close to the prime hunting for Illinois. I hunt in Montgomery county which is south central illinois and it is no comparison to say Pike county or anywhere in the region of "The Golden Triangle" in western Illinois. People driving on country roads should be the last of your worries also...
