Leaving for Missouri Friday A.M.
 

Yup. On Friday at roughly 3 AM, my dad, my brother and I will be in the truckheaded to northern Missouri to bowhunt for a week. We have 160 acres leased that borders the iowa state line in north central Missouri. The landowner has seen several nice bucks. there are two huge 12 and 14 pointers, and those he just sees from his house! There are rubs and scrapes everywhere too. He said it should be an awesome year. I hope so! I just had to let everyone know because Imfired upand this will be my first out of state bowhunt!:D

You should have a great week!! The bucks were up moving last weekend, and by this weekend things should really be fired up....Really, fired up.....I'll be hunting, starting this Friday as well, for the next 10 days. Weather looks good, timing is right......

Your timing couldn't be better. I rattled in 3 different bucks yesterday. one of them being a shooter and he came in twice in the same day. even the does where being slightly receptive to calling. its gonna be pretty warm during the day with highs in the 60's but overnight lows in the middle 30's.

thanks guys. i talked to my dad who is working out of town in albia iowa. he rode around after work andsaid the bucks are running everywhere.

Im leaving for western illinois on the 7th. Can't wait. Going out of state and seeing lots of big bucks will spoil you, you will find a way to go back every year cause hunting at home will never be the same again(in my area anyway).
