nice buck.i too only hunt stateforestland.
i have 100 acres of privateland with many bucks on it but its boring and not challenge.

during rut or start, you really dont need to be in tree.

i killed most of my biggest bucks on ground..
you can move on ground ,in tree, no way.

thats big plus during pre rut/rut.
