ok, i read that if the track is splayed out 3" at its widest, its atleast a 175 lb. deer.

i forget what book i read that in.

I think he will go 137 based on the curve on that inner hoof;)

no scale man, so i cannot answer that, i have no idea how big it is....

but heres m 2cents. the track is splayed, so it always is deceving on how large it really is...itcould evenbe ayearling...the toes are not rounded so, in my region, that means he is not a dominate animal as he hasnt done much scraping and worn them slightly blunt. The track is relatively 'square' tho even taking the splaying into account so i would say it is more likely a buck track than a doe....and going out on a limb, at least 2.5 years old...they get 'squarer' as time goes on....a generalization of course.

the dew claws are more promenent on bucks, but it is skidding so in this case i dont know:eek:

Compared to what?? You should have put something in the pic for comparison.

I don't know how big it is..But I can tell ya how big his foot is.

OK i thought the same thing. His dew claws are the size of a normal track. At first I though it was two tracks.

I have no idea, but I would suspect he's rather large.

I double checked that myself. It is a large track, and I'm sure the deer is big.
