The time change has nothing to do with the shortness of light.... All it does is readjust the times it gets light in the mrning and dark at night according to our watches.. to the deer though nothing changes...
the second moon phase and the time change is what always sets them off in my neck of the woods. usually a couple days after full moon and the time change. just my observation over the years. so by the end of this week should be getting good.

I remember spotting as a kid in PA and seeing more than two hundred deer in a night on a regular basis. Ah, the good old days.
