Update on Illinois MONSTER
copy and pasted from: http://www.prairiestateoutdoors.com/
Sun, October 28 at 05:10 PM[/align]There is no new world record typical archery kill to report. At least not this buck pictured at right, shot in southern Illinois last week by a bowhunter apparently named Joel Eggers. The 11-point typical buck has been the subject of intense Internet scrutiny lately, with some reporting the deer had scored 206 inches. That score would have topped the 204 4/8-inch buck shot years ago by Mel Johnson of Peoria. But when the Eggers buck was actually scored by a certified measurer on Thursday, it scored 198 inches. That's the green score. After 60 days the buck can be expected to dry some. The rack had major deductions for an abnormal 5-inch point that sticks out behind one brow tine. Stay tuned for more information later tonight |
