RE: Which sight would you recommend?

Take a look at the sight made by Extreme Archery, the Sniper model is a great sight. And if you don't care about the money aspect, the "Hogg It"sight made by Spott Hogg is a better sight, but a little more expensive. Both are very well made and very durable. You can see these sights at www.extremearchery.com and www.spot-hogg.com

I vote for the Trophy Ridge. I love mine, and it does everything I could expect.

Impact Cosmic. The only thing I would not reccomend it for is indoor paper shoots or 3D past 50 yards. It's actually TOO BRIGHT ( a problem I like to have during the hunting season<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> for small dot, hair splitting delivery. Check out HHA sights too....I have not used them but they look very interesting.

I did a review of the Trophy Ridge Nitro 5 pin sight a while back (I mistakenly called it the Flatliner in the report). Here's a link to it http://forum.hunting.net/bbs/topic.a...72&FORUM_ID=37

I would look form something other than the Trophy Ridge. It's still on my bow but I'm having problems with it moving when I shoot. I've tried everything and it still wont stay put.

Good luck

I've had an Impact Cosmic for about a month and I love it for hunting ! It is extremely bright! Haven't shot any 3-D yet , but I can get it to adjust out to 60 yrds .I'm shooting 308 fps though !

You have got to take a serious look at the new Trophy Ridge Micro Matrix. This sight is incredible for 2003. The refinements are impressive. From the improved lockdown (hex-head bolts inside the wingnuts on the same adjustment) to the Steel Tech pins, TR addressed everyones concerns and IMO created the ultimate fixed pin sight!!! I also have the 4x Feather Vision lens which attaches and removes easily making this sight one of the coolest for serious Hunter Class 3Ds. With the addition of a sweet little blue-light and a few other refinements TR truly has a sight for everyone this season.

I really like my Copper John Deadnuts Pro for 3D. It has the .019 pins. I think a better hunting sight is the Impact Cosmic Lite. The Cosmic works fine for 3D. The only problem is a class issue. Moveable sights are allowed only in the open class. If you don't care about that, I'd get the Cosmic. At local shoots I use mine and leave it set on 25 yds.

RE: Which sight would you recommend?

I'm in the market for a new sight too and just looked at the Cosmic Lite at their website. It looks like it would be very bright but can somebody explain the one pin to me. Do you have to adjust the sight on the side for distance before each shot at a different range? It seems like it would be more involved than just having more pins for different ranges. Plus I have enough stuff running through my mind when the deer appear I'm not sure I would remember to adjust it.

Can somebody explain exactly how to use it and its advantages?
