Tinks #69
Has anybody here used the stuff? It always sells fast around here, and a buddy of mine swears by it. I've never used scents really, so I went and bought some of this gel and "bombs" you put it on.
Some feedback from you guys would be great |

RE: Tinks #69
In 11 seasons i've had 2 bucks come in to it. Guess you have to be at the right place at the right time. But i still use it every year just incase.

I've had success using the 69 lure but only in areas that have a relatively even buck to doe ratio. If you hunt in an area that has a higher doe to buck ratio (like I live in now) I'd say that you are much better off using your calls or if you want to use a scent, a food attractant scent that will bring in the does that the bucks are already following instead oftrying to bring in a lone buck. Because chances are your buck that your looking for is already hitched on a doe.

I have had limited success. No slammers came in to it, but I have had little basket 8's meet thier demise by coming up and smelling for it.

RE: Tinks #69
As an independent product tester I have tried 7 different types of attractants.
The top 3 products have been Tinks #69, Code Blue, and Buck Bomb. The other products didn't even get hit. The Tinks #69 lasted the longest, drew more deer in than the others, and held the deer in the area longer than the other 3. This was tested in a closed condition area (High Fence - 200 acres) and in Public Hunting areas. The Sam Houston National Forest in Texas. For Archery hunting I won't use anything but Tinks to get the deer in close to me, and focused on something away from me to give me time to draw. |
