Morning: So that I can be there and quiet for an hour before daylight.
Evening: As early as time permits. (I usually hunt after work)

On morning hunts usually a half an hour before daylight and then till dark on evening hunts. Dark means I can no longer hardly see deer moving or definately not shooting hours.

Ill sit in the stand up to 2 hours before daylight and depending on the time of year may sit all day long. During the pre/rut/post I have seen deer moving at noon and 2 so it depends on when you are talking about. Go early, stay quiet and good luck.

Like to get on stand at least an hour before shooting light. Take my time getting in, and if its real crunchy, drag my feet on the way in. Seems to spook the deer less. Night hunts are whenever I can get there. I guess anytime spent on stand is better than time not... Shot my best buck after being on stand less than fifteen minutes.
